Re: MBP collets on a Mille

I ordered on MBPDucati.com, and got an email after I send them one, that they were closed for the summer, but nothing about that on ordering page of the website.

Some weeks ago, while I hadn't recieve the collets, I send them an email. They responded that they were out for the summer...and the collets were in the mail.... :blah: More...

Re: MBP collets on a Mille

I still haven't ordered those collets, but when looking today at the MBP website, it seems that all collets for modern Ducatis are out of stock.
The only available collets are for the old Bevels....howcome..??

Re: what to use to treat painted bodywork to keep original patina

I would just use an oiled rag.
The oil will stop the rust, and won't attack the paint...

Holes drilled yes, but nothing wired
Cases had the lead.

I always use a wire on the exhaust nuts to prevent them to become loose, and ruin the tread.
( But indeed in the opposite direction.....!!)

Re: Won't idle

If you don't want to destroy the engine, keep it under 3000 rpm's the first 6-7 miles..... It takes up to 20 minutes driving, before any Beveltwin reaches operating temps....!!!! I have an oil temp reader on my Mille, in summer it takes sometimes about 30 min. driving, before it reaches 80 degrees C...

Re: Won't idle

My '85 Mille MHR starts fine, but only idles after a long, decent warm up, may take more than 10mls and/or minutes....
I learned to live with it..!!
