Re: Mick Walker
His brother Rick was a great help to me in the early 80s when I first got my GT750. He had a minted one squirreled away in his garage - reckoned it was the best bevel drive available (no bias at all!).

Re: 50th Birthday Ducati - Call out to Euro Bevelheads
If you feel you really MUST use a straight 50 weight oil (and even if you don't ... :) ) Contact Peter Clark at Ducati Montpellier. Peter is the chef d'atelier there. He's a Kiwi, so speaks a form of English ... ;) He also knows a thing or two about our old lumps (he used to work at Motoddd Laverda...

50th Birthday Ducati - Call out to Euro Bevelheads
I couldn't find anywhere else in the forums to put this so... Next year my Ducati will be 50 years old... https://www.advrider.com/f/attachments/img_20190831_1606546-jpeg.5139991 It's been with me for 40 of those years and I'm planning to ride it back to the factory to mark the occasion. I live in D...

Re: Clutch slip
I know you do Steve, I've bought parts from you before. It's just annoying how UK (probably all) customs gouge you for money for nothing!

Re: Clutch slip
Great but sadly UK customs will add at least 20% to that, have you considered a European outlet based in my garage??

Re: Clutch slip
Always dinosaurs, I've had the bike 36 years but I might have a look at the plates.

As above, just put new springs in but wide open throttle produces slippage - any suggestions?

Non high compression pistons for 750GT
My GT is on the first oversize at the moment, compression readings seem low to me - 110psi rear and 100ish on the front. Should I be thinking of new pistons and the next oversize and if so, what recommendations for a 'normal' piston

I'd be interested in 750GT brochures/owners' manual if you still have them?

Removing stator from side cover
Having undone the 4 retaining bolts and removed the washers and triangular plates I've found that the original stator doesn't want to move.
Before I inflict untold damage I thought I'd ask the collective the best way to go about the job, puller, heat, witchcraft?
Thanks.

Wanted: Mechanical advance for 750GT
Desperately need a usable mechanical advance for my 750GT, I already have a Dyna S electronic ignition fitted but it relies on a functioning mech advance which mine is not! I need to get this fixed for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride ( https://www.gentlemansride.com/rider/JamesSuttie ) on the 29t...

Apologies all but I'm still looking for a primary gear for my bike so I've bumped this. Somebody must have one?
