It appears a guy in West Australia got a package he hadn't ordered, shipped from US, containing a silver Imola style tank & some manuals. He's now looking for the rightful owner. Details here http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=19733915#post19733915 edit to add: - package was addressed t...

On the "Made in Italy" stickers my 81 MHR & 85 F1750 had black on gold versions just behind the fuel cap.

The MHR sticker lasted till the first full tank of fuel leaked out through the cap  , the F1's sticker, being under the clear, is still there.

Hi & welcome to the forum.

I got an original for my 85 from Gowanlochs a year or so ago - so they'd be worth a try.

I know all about that. I've been shuffling my bikes around for years now as I've moved across the country and rebuilt a 150 year old house. Similar story here - though moving into a very small town & having these 3 arrive on a truck in the main street meant I had a whole load of instant new bes...

They certainly cover 8 years of radical change at Ducati - away from the bare bones (it's got ignition spark, why do you want more electrics? era) rattlers into the modern electric everything, smooth era. Maybe, I'm just getting old but the newer ones just don't float my boat - the 851 is only margi...

No worries - now we've finished the house renovations I might even get to ride 'em, rather than just shuffle them round the shed ;)

Finally got off my arse & took some pics  1981 MHR original except for mufflers - original Silentiums got binned at pre-delivery & Contis fitted, Contis gave up the ghost about 3 years ago & were replaced with Staintune conti replicas. Seat got recovered in the mid 90's. Marzocchis...

Sold for US $2,550.00 - ouch.

Shipped from the factory 25 years ago - so mid 80s maybe the black zip is from an 80's model (part 797-85-108)

Hi from Tasmania - Oz

Hi

Stumbled across these forums the other day & thought I should join - it's a very handy resource.

The next time the sun's shining I'll take a pic of the toys & post it :)
