Carb balancing readings not making sense
Hi All Need some help. I have finally got my Darmah project bike running after 6 years. The bike was stripped down to bare frame and rebuilt. The engine only had a topend overhaul with new piston rings, valve guides and a couple of new valves. The bottom end was untouched. I fitted kits to the carbs...

Can I assume the mount protrudes past the frame by approximately 10mm.
Could you please confirm. See attached drawing.

1979 SSD frame footpeg mounts
Hi All My frame has been altered along the way by someone to move the footpegs further back. The old mounting bosses have been cut off and a new mount fabricated. In the quest for originality I have removed the new additions and now want to go back to original. I can see where the old mounts were lo...

Marzocchi dampener rod piston rings
Hi all
I am in process of restoring forks on my 79SSD and it is obvious that one of the nylon piston rings is worn out. I have rung a few parts suppliers with no success. Is anyone aware of where I can source some.
Thanks
Mark

Thanks for the replies. I have a 12/78 SSD that one could assume would have been sold as a 1979 model, it has numberplate bracket holes and was trying to determine if the guard was correct for that year. I bought the bike from a guy that had purchased it from Eurobrit in Victoria. If Victoria change...

Front numberplates in Australia
Can anyone tell me what year the various Australian states done away with front numberplates? Was it a national approach or did the various states do away with them at different times.
My recollection for NSW was mid 70's.

Darmah wheel buckle
Hi
Can anyone recommend a mag wheel repairer in Australia, I have a buckled FPS 4 bolt disc front wheel off a Darmah that needs straightening. Or, does someone have a wheel for sale?
