oil plug metric size ?

hello I tried to change the oil of the MHR 900 today but ran into a problem. I tried to loosen the oil plug with a 21 metric spanner but it slips since spanner can not go over the whole plug because of the shape of the carter. I didn't get a 21 socket plug because I thought I would not be able to pu...

oil filter for beveldrive

Does anybody know if there are some Japanese bikes that use the same oil filter as the Ducati Beveldrives ? I am looking to buy some filters locally but at the closest shop they didn't know the filter type for a beveldrive engine (too old I guess) I was told that the oil filter is the same as some J...

MBP collet for 900 SS

Hello, I just read the information about the MBP collets that are for sale here http://shop.bevelheaven.com/detail.aspx?ID=876 I have a few questions. Do these collets also have to be replaced at every service like the standard half rings ? I recently bought a 1994 900 SS and the service interval fo...

Thanks,

Could you tell me if there is anything peculiar about DB2's to look out for ?
I am looking to buy a DB2 (900) with 20 000 km.
I think it has Keihin flatslides installed but it comes with the original carbs too.

1990's 900 SS - 400 SS engine

Does anybody have any idea if the 900 SS and 400 SS engine have the same dimensions ?
I would like to know if changing the engine in a DB2 400 to a 900 engine would be possible or hopelessly difficult.

Does anybody know if the DB2 400 version has the same frame as the 900 cc version ?

Thanks.
it is where I found out that the FE is not injected.
Basically the FE is a DB2 with a different paint schema I think.

I ll be looking into a DB2 shortly I hope :)

bimota DB2 EF carb or injection ?

Hello,

Did not know where to ask this question so I ll throw it in here.
Does anybody know if the DB2 EF is supposed to come with carbs or with injection ?

Found out that DB2 EF is also carbed.
Does anyone know the difference then between a DB2 and DB2 EF ?
except for paint scheme

Thanks

yes I balanced the cables after replacing them. I also think that the cables need to be connected as the tabs are all shiny. Probably I unplugged them accidentally while working on the cables. I will try again after plugging the cables back. thanks for your help. That did not help. I got sparks on b...

MHR voltage regulator

Two weeks ago I tried to start it but it ran only for a few turn and then cut off. I tried to start it yesterday to take it for a ride but no luck...

Hello from Japan

I recently bought a SS900 and MHR from a friend who was moving out of Japan. I drive a bandit 400 for daily commuting life and keep the ducs for the weekend trips. SS 900 (1976) Here is a picture of the 900 SS at last http://anatak.com/2009_05_06_hiraodai_ss900.JPG I am in the process of cleaning th...
