this is a sad state of affairs,i think too many people are hoarding parts for no good reason.
sounds like you'll be riding a jap bike if you take off all the rare parts,
i'll just ride mine and what happens happens
i have crashed it a few times,luckily with minimal damage

ss headlight

i've been doing a bit of work on my 75 ss and dropped my headlight while pulling it off and broke it-are replacement glasses available?=i have'nt been able to find any on the net. anyone have a source for this part

thanks -very informative.looks like a big/wide screwdriver would be needed.would you loctite these in after cleaning?-when cleaning,what stops rubbish going into big end
allen key screw is obvious-does no one make these

i too would be interested in info on sludge traps;my motor is a twin but you seem to have knowledge about all ducatis
i am putting a 750 motor back together and was unaware of these traps.
any info would be good-perhaps we transfer to a twins area?

i just took my headlight apart,the white gasket that sits between the lens and the rim is rock hard

i bought a heap of parts some years ago
750gt and 750sport-trouble is the stuff was moved a few times while i was living overseas and is now in one big pile
pm your email and we'll talk further-if ss is expensive to rebuild-750 stuff will have to go
