Re: WTB: CEV Left Handlebar Switch Assembly

Try Ian Gowanloch as I have bought several from him in the recent past. He can be found on eBay as "italsparesducati" or email him directly at iangowanloch@bigpond.com. He also has the bracket to attach the CEV switch to the clipons. There are two types of CEV switchblocks (not including t...

Re: WANTED TOOL KIT & TIRES

If you have a genuine 74 or 75 SS then the tool kit was a great buy. If you don't have a genuine 74 or 75 SS, the tool kit was a great sale.

It is meaningless to talk about the average price for these models as so few are available and no-one knows the actual selling prices. The price asked can also vary from country to country. If you talk specifically about the 76/77 750SS, there is one here in Australia currently advertised at $50kAUS...

There is nothing wrong with restoring a bike as long as it is done correctly. Is the bike you are considering the same as that listed recently on eBay.de? If the bike has correct Borrani 47s, Jod Duplo headlight, correct dash and body work and engine/frame numbers then it would be a nice find and a ...

+1.
And, as Rick has alluded, the earlier Super Sports are more "desired" but their performance is no better. Good luck finding a SS in the states; maybe you got lucky with that nice 1982 on ebay last week?

Just saw this post and thought I'd add a note. The straight indicator bar was first used to mount CEV indicators to the rear fenders of the US model 77 SS. I suspect you have CEV indicators, probably with side reflectors, mounted on your bike Brian. The SSs for other markets had Aprilia indicators (...

FWIW the VIN number is the Vehicle Identification Number. In Australia, this number is exactly the same as the frame number. After 1977 ( i.e. from 78 onwards), the VIN tag on bevel SSs was moved from the right side down strut and stuck to the front of the headstock. The VIN tag should also have the...

That's exactly what should be done to all 82 Super Sports...very, very nice job Chas and congratulations on keeping it through thick and thin and bevel price inflation. :-D Jeeze, there must be so many good memories there.... After you line the fibreglass tank to protect it from modern fuel you'll p...

Probably nothing; the photo makes the sticker look like it has an all yellow background whereas it should have some white.

Great bike and lovely looking paint job. If you look at the top of this page you will see the correct DESMO decals to finish off the fairing and seat correctly. You may also find your Marzocchi fork decal needs attention.

Yep, well put Mr.Wilson. But speaking of big tittied blondes that I like to stalk, check out this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330396895195 If that silicone blonde with the Michael Jackson face can sell for near $37000 what will become of this little hottie? I'm wre...

Dealing with Gowanlochs in Belmore may be hit or miss. Try instead to deal with the man himself as he is more than helpful. And he he has A LOT of F1 parts as well as those old and funny bevel thingies. He can be found via ebay as Italspares. Well worth a try!

You're not wrong there; I don't actually mind wrenching but I tend to make a mess......my dream bike is also a 1975 SS. When that particular 75 SS was put on Michaelsmotorcycles, some 18 or so months ago, it had 900SS decals on the side covers and a price of 35kUSD. I jumped right in and enquired ab...
