I'm trying to replicate to tool kit that came with my 450 Scrambler. Can anyone tell me the length of the wire screwdriver? I see a few on eBay and need to know the length.
Thanks

What's wrong with my engine
Hi all, I have a 1970 450cc Scrambler that's recently started making strange sounds. It still starts and runs, but makes a grinding noise every few seconds and I feel a loss of power and hesitation along with this noise. Can anyone give me an idea of what is going on? I couldn't upload a video on th...

Size of bolt to hold rear tailight
The rear taillight bolt on my 1970 450 Scrambler is stripped. Can anyone tell me the correct size? I'll put a nut-cert in it and build up some weld-on around it.
Thanks

Re: What type of oil should I use for my 1970 450 Scrambler
Thanks all,
I ended up ordering Morris Oil from the shop that fixed my bike, Velocity Cycles in Richmond Virginia. It's formulated for vintage bikes.

What type of oil should I use for my 1970 450 Scrambler
Going to change the oil this weekend. Can anyone recommend what type and weight I should use. I've read because of its age I should use 20/50 WT. Good idea?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Just can't get it started!
Bob: I think the ignition is fine. I charged the battery overnight, but in a new plug, and it has spark. Craig: My starting procedure is, as you suggested in a post before: 1. Using the kick start, bring the engine up to compression. 2. Pull in the decompression lever and, still using the kick start...

Re: Just can't get it started!
Well, started out promising this morning, back to having problems starting it again. DAMN! Don't remember my first Scrambler being so temperamental. They seem to flood easily. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Just can't get it started!
Been riding my 1970 450 Scrambler for a couple of months now, after getting major repairs. Last Saturday it started on the first kick, as it usually does, went to ride it the next day and nothing! Been trying to get it started all week. I replaced the plug, checked the gas, charged the battery, chec...

Rims on 1970 Ducati 450 Scrambler
Hi everyone, I'm restoring my 1970 450 Scrambler. The next big project is to add new rims. I've been looking on eBay at rims, but having trouble finding my size. The front rim width measures 19" x 2.75" and rear width measure 18" x 3", with 36 spokes. I have not seen any rims this size. They are Bar...

Question on my 1970 450 scrambler
image.jpg Hi folks, I've been restoring my 450 Scrambler for some time now. My next update is to add new rims and stainless steel spokes. My question is who make the original rims? Can't read logo on mine. And is it possible to get similar rims , same profile, etc? Also, I thought the 450 scrambler...
