Re: 860GT (kickstart) Electronic Ignition Options

Yes, fish the rubber grommet out of the case, and slide it off the wires. You have to cut the wires off where they attach to the red transducers, and the grommet will slide right off. Then, just pull the stator off the crank while working the wire through the hole left by the rubber grommet. Just pu...

Also, you will need the gland nut adapter from Volker. Costs about $15 if I recall.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea of just how expensive? Am I the only one interested in these types of wheels? If enough people were interested, maybe a small batch could turn into a small run, and possibly reduce the price. Anybody else interested? Phil

Thanks Steve, I guess I'm a bit thick on the fine points of suspension tuning(read-I know nothing!). Why would you not want to know about something that adds weight to the front end, yet need to know the weight of the rider? Seems to me that it should all go into the equation. Installing A Lucas RITA Ignition on A 75 860 GT

Just how difficult is it to install a Lucas RITA ignition on an 860 GT? I already have a Gear Gazer on the verticle tower, and a cut away side cover, and I understand that the G-G would have to go. Any civilians out there(not employed as a professional wrench) ever done one of these conversions? I a...

Mag Style Wheels-Good, Bad, Ugly

I would like to put a set of Mag style wheels on my 75 860 GT, preferably the Campy style, or something like Steve Allen shows in his photo here on the forum. Which ones are the most reliable? What sort of availability is there at what price range? I think they look great, and I like the idea of hav...
