I picked up this kit as well It is for a rear master on an R100 I am 99% certain it will work fine. The only thing different is the surface which meets the lever does not have the plastic pad on it as do the other master kits I've seen. There is no Brembo logo or number anywhere. Even the red brembo...

thanks for the tip!

I got another reply privately -- to use coarse grade walnut and just do it for a long time.

Sounds like you are on the same track.

abrasive blasting battery acid on engine case

I picked up an extra case, and it has some (a lot) of battery acid "damage"..

I know it can be blasted off, removing like 0.01mm of surface

what is the best type of media to use? I am doing this at home, I have a small blast setup.

Carbide? Walnut shell?

The Road and Race replica is probably your best bet. I've been trying to get Bub Enterprises to make a run of their replica, but they've been putting it off for over a year now. I've bought from R&R several times and they (Phil) are very reliable, he's on several of the lists including Pantaheads.

New Michelin vintage tire

Michelin has just come out with a new bias ply vintage-sized tire called the M45. I picked up a front tire for my GTL, in the correct 3.25-S-18 size. This tire was JUST released, so many (most) retailers won't have it yet. It is a general purpose "urban/cruiser" type tire. It looks good, a...

Tank cleanup that's not an $arm and a $leg?

I have a tank which is in very good shape but has crud and light rust inside, and two VERY small dings on the outside. I've talked to a few places which want $200-300 to clean it out and fill in the dings. Does anyone know a shop which does this reasonably? I knew of a shop back home in Tennessee wh...
