Hi Peter, if you plan on actually riding the thing (hopefully) then absolutely do replace the harness so you don't end up stranded somewhere.

what you have are pretty damn good tires (AM26 Avons) suggest if you want super sticky to look at AVON SC compound race tires...

Yes the clamp can be removed from the body just use a large screwdriver to twist and remove and yes its barbaric doing so but not impossible - Also I suggest you bolt intake to head then try to twist (only) the carb to remove it from intake manifold. If you really cant get seperated dont worry about...

avoid clip type master links. It isn;t worth the risk. They don;t often fail but when they do it could be catastrophic.
