Clutch pressure plate adjustment
Hello, I just reassembled the clutch basket and was wondering how much tension needs to be present. The shop manual says to keep 5mm protruding from the surface of the lock nut. I did just that and tried to operate the clutch and it seems stiffer that what I remembered when the bike last ran. Is the...

Narrow Case Magneto/Alternator identification
Greetings, I am trying to identify what type of alternator my narrow case 250 is equipped with. I finally took the flywheel off and found 2 coils on the stator. So I think this is the 6V/40W magneto system. However I expected a 3-wire cable to come out. Instead, it seems to only have 2 wires are com...

Carb mounting angle?
Hello,
Can someone tell me what the carburator mounting angle is on narrowcase singles? I have a Dellorto UB24 that I want to mount on my Monza 250 and I'm wondering if I have the correct float bowl angle.
Thanks
-Adriano

more narrow case questions
Greetings, I have a Monza 250 narrow case project bike that has been dormant for a while and I am about to start working on it again. I have some basic questions regarding ignition and fuel system. I think the bike has the 6V 60W alternator. I say that because I only see 2 wires (instead of 3) in th...

Best way to proceed after 4 years of storage?
Hello, My 250 narrowcase has been in storage for the last 4 years. I don't remember what kind of engine oil I used last time it ran. I was wondering what is the best way to proceed. Do I need to change the oil before trying to start it again? Or do I need to do something more drastic (eg. dismantlin...

New member with a narrowcase
Hello,
I have a 250 narrowcase project bike made up of parts
of various origins. I hope to get it running one day.
It needs a carb and some ignition work.
Can anyone identify what exact model my engine belongs to?
The engine ID is DM250-91966
Thanks
