just a note about the advise given to gregh. I work with aluminium and the 6061 grade he was advised is a grade used for "wrought" products. i.e. extrusions or forgings. Casting grades normally have silicon added to lower the viscosity of the alloy when molten which allows them to flow into a mould ...

Gomi, I put in the first bid as the heads looked as they were the big valve versions, but later communications with the vendor confirmed they were actually 1985 build. He had them advertised as 1986, but this was year of registration meaning they were identical to the Alazzurra heads I already have....

Gomi, Thanks for the information about the heads and it would be great if you were able to find out a little more for me... The postage is not quite so much of a worry as i am in Ireland and not the US, so postage is within EU. I am very jealous of the guy with the TT F1... As you are going away for...

Gomi, I visited the workshop of Roy Thersby a year or so ago to look at the TT replicas he made in the 80's and saw a 750F1 that he had broken for parts (including seat). You can get the e-mail address on his website at www.thersbygroup.freeserve.co.uk. I would give him a try if I were you... Steve ;)

Thanks for the response - when you say "if price is not a problem" what kind of money are we talking about and are you offering the late heads with the small diameter spark plug? Thanks, Steve

P.S. I have heard rumour of a seat available, I will enquire and let you know...

851cc Pantah conversion

I am building a TT1 motor and intend to copy the Marco Luccinelli TT1 motor of 1987 by using a modified 851 crank within late model 750SS crankcases combined with the 900SS bore of 92mm. Has anyone done this conversion? I know Ferracci did a 92mm conversion using steel sleeves, but I have heard bad ...

Gomi,

A while ago, Gowanlock in Australia had these in stock. Don't be afraid of buying from them because they are a long way off, I have purchased from Ireland and found them really good. The Australian dollar exchange rate means they aren't too expensive generally....

Not sure if you are still looking for Allazzura parts, but I have a bike that I am using as a donor for a project and could sell on most of the dedicated / non Pantah parts. I.e. bodywork, seat, clocks. Let me know if interested. Mine is a UK 1985 model (early version in red / white with half fairin...
