engine is from another bike . it has the large M 30 alternator outlet . early widecase had M 22 outlets . on the plus side those crankcases are stronger and have the bigger 6306 righthand main bearing

Brook Henry bought the molds for this engine from Guiseppi Ioanoni . Kent Jörnevall was the middleman in this deal
in my humble opinion he is taking a lot of credit for work he did not do .

Hi Murph the pistons you have in your bike are 87 mm Wiseco pistons ( std is 86 mm ) so there allready 1mm over to get the bore clean again you would need 87.5 mm pistons . another thing is the Wiseco's are very heavy pistons at about 575 grams so when doing the crankshaftwork i would check the bala...

nice unmolested bike . looks like a 1974 to me . some of the last bikes to roll of the assembly line .
at the very end Ducati run out of single engines and used Spanish Mototrans engines .

do you know the size of the bigend bearing ?
the late type vento used the same bearing as a beveltwin 38 X 44 X 22
you only need the connectingrod or a complete set with B.E. bearing and pin ?

the mainshaft has a habit of breaking at the circlip groove that holds
second gear in place .
the good news is that al widecase mainshafts are the same 250 thru 450
exept a Condor shaft
