Re: Veglia Speedo Question

Thanks Steve,

I tried that too, but turning it left just makes the whole assembly turn. Might be something messed up inside.

Re: Ducati 750 GT electronic Tachometer

I also have an electronic Veglia Tach on my GT. It works when it wants to. I checked connections and they are fine. Can these be rebuilt and made to work reliably? If so, where do I send it?

THanks,
Rob

Veglia Speedo Question

How do I remove the trip reset knob so that I can get the gauge out of the dash on my 1974 GT? I tried just pulling but it didn't seem to want to budge and I don't want to break it.

Thanks

Re: PHF32 accelerator pump - Darmah

I would find a different "experienced" bevel guy if I were you. The accelerator pump is there for a very good reason as stated above, and if you aren't accelerating hard, the pump isn't doing anything anyway. The pump is only activated after you twist the throttle far enough to activate it (assuming...

Rob's '74 GT 750 on the road again.

Good Morning, Just thought I would share. Well, after some work, I got back up, running awesome and I have been riding quite often. I have a large stable of vintage bikes but this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites to ride. Work done myself includes: Sort out some electrical gremlins Clean,...

Re: Dot on new tire lightest spot?

I just mounted new tires on my 750 GT and they had dots. Yes, you mount the dots are the valve stem.

1974 750 GT with PHF32 jetting recommendation

Hey Guys, Still working on my GT. I have been chasing a hanging rpm problem for quite awhile now. Replaced the exhaust gaskets, replaced the intake insulators with the new aluminum ones with o-rings from Steve. No stuck cables or slides or anything. This bike has PHF32 instead of the stock PHF30 car...

Re: 1974 750 GT carb question

Thanks all for the help so far. Throttle slides are not sticking, they go up and down fine and both close at the same time. Steel tank, so now worries about fiberglass getting in the way. Proper freeplay on cables and cables aren't sticking. Brand new exhaust gaskets just installed which did not fix...

1974 750 GT Electronic Tach not working

Hey Guys, In getting my GT back in running condition, I have noticed that the electronic tach does not register at all. Where does it receive it's signal from? BTW, the bike has some kind of electronic ignition in it, although I have not been able to discern which kind yet. Also noticed that the Spe...

1974 750 GT carb question

Good Morning, In getting my newly acquired 750 GT back on the road in running condition, I have a carb question. I cleaned (ultrasonically), rebuilt, and hand synched the carbs. Bike has some type of electronic ignition although I can't figure out which one yet. I also replaced the exhaust gaskets. ...

Re: Introduction

Hey Rick, No, this is my first vintage Ducati for the collection. I had a nice 996 once, but hated that bike and sold it after only owning it for a year. Torture rack to ride unless you can do 100mph everywhere and never stop. LOL. I rode this particular GT years ago and fell in love with it and tol...

Introduction

Hello Everyone, My name is Rob and I hail from Eastern Pennsylvania. I have a nice collection of 50 motorcycles that I do all my own work and restorations on. Reason I joined this group is just acquired a 1974 Ducati 750 GT to add to my collection. IMG_1246 small.jpg So far I have cleaned and synche...
