Bosch Pickups - Continuity Testing / Identifying Wires

Greetings Ducatisti! I have a 1978 Darmah with a problem. The ignition pickup wires were cut without tagging which ones correspond with eachother. I tried using an ohm meter to solve this dilemma by checking continuity, but could not find a point on the pickups where the wires are exposed or there i...

Re: NO LONGER FOR SALE - 1977 Moto Guzzi LeMans MK1 (850cc)

After four years of dormancy, I finally resurrected my Le Mans. She started right up and moves down the road as I fondly remembered. Here is what was done: - Replacement heads/cylinders from 1978 Le Mans with 29K miles - New valves, guides, valve springs - New exhaust headers and Lafranconi mufflers...

NEEDED...Off-Set Darmah Shift Lever

Bon journo!

I am looking for a shift lever that is off-set (not straight) to clear the primary cover on a 1982 Darmah.
Please let me know if you have a spare to offer.

Re: 1975 900 ss for sale

Out of curiosity, is the kickstart lever correct? I thought the SS levers were not straight.

Kickstarter

For what it is worth, I think the stock kick lever for the Darmah sucks because of the relatively short kick cycle/range. The supersport style kick lever has a much broader cycle, but is becoming scarce and expensive. When you do find one, you have to consider the quality, as well. I believe some of...

Moving Ahead...

Just sourced a set of cylinders/heads for the LM from a 1978 model with low miles, and ordered a new header and fork tubes. Decided it's about time to get the old girl back on the road!

Cheers

Bearings

...The old wheel had some sort of a tube insterted between the bearings so that it could be mounted on the 18mm axle, does it need to be that way? how does the tube come out? tried hiting it with a hammer, it doesnt move. My recollection, based on the exploded diagram of the rear wheel for a Darmah...
