Re: Ducati deodorant

I've been running some Blendzall octane booster in my fuel,it has castor in it and it smells like racing! Seems to make my Buell run a bit better too but could just be the aroma. How much are you adding per litre/gallon? I'm not really interested in a performance boost but I remember standing at a ...

Hi Macdesmo/Ian and others,
That is incredibly sad news. What a knowledgeable and generous person Kev was.

Lovely work. Curious to know the source of the stainless mud guards. Did you fabricate them?
Cheers

Re: Darmah wiring and cable routing

Ric, the Ducatimeccanica site has lots of good resources. I found this after a quick look - it's small but it might be of some help. http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/darmah_manual/wiring_chart.html http://www.ducatimeccanica.com/darmah_manual/colour_codes1.html Also found this: https://onlineservicema...

Re: 860GT head nut wrench and torque setting

Kev, In a clicking torque wrench it occurs not on the fulcrum and not at the end, but usually 1/3 to 1/2 way up the lever. So how does that affect tourque readings with a straight lever extension? Steve Foster??? The really important thing to remember is what BevHevSteve pointed out i.e. Snap in you...

Re: Low flying spaghetti jets

... that's not how I see customising. I see a bike as a starting point and just make it as beautiful a thing as I can, I make a lot of new parts and change a lot of things but a lot comes down to just making whats already there perfect. I like to make some things better than new, mirror polished an...

Re: Low flying spaghetti jets

Hey Spag, yes, several questions are indeed begged. However, this is not me, it's not my bike and it's not my cat (I have an Eclectus parrot so the last thing I would want around the house is a cat) so I'm unable to address them. I remembered seeing this a couple of years ago and tracked it down for...

Hi Geoff, I wondered the same myself and found the following. Check out page 39 of this pdf document: http://www.guzzitek.org/documents/carburateur/DellOrtoMAJ01.pdf 2.4 ENGINE CONNECTIONS The carburettor is usually connected to the engine with one of the following: A- male clamp fixing (figure 4) u...

Re: 750GT Rolling Basket Challange

Thanks for the progress reports Geodoc. Just so happens that a friend of garage-mate Tom gave him an old automotive brake drum turning machine. Serendipitous in the extreme ! It's not every day that somebody has one of those lying around that they want to give to someone that happens to share a gara...

Re: '74 750GT First gear pops out

Styles52, I have experienced the same issue with my 750 GT jumping out of first gear. It's happened on at least two occasions, at approx 30,000kms intervals. The solution was the same in both cases so it has been well tested by me. See the topic "first gear slippage" in the "Engine &a...
