Re: Removing rubber gauge holder cup
If you have access to a heat gun, you could try a very gentle application of heat just to warm the rubber and make it more supple. Maybe try squeeze a thin feeler gauge between the rubber part and the clock and spray in some lubricant then work the feeler gauge around the clock. Thanks, I figured i...

Removing rubber gauge holder cup
Hi,
I have been trying to remove the rubber holder cup from my speedometer but it is very tight and I cannot move it at all. I replaced them around 18 months ago and they went in just fine without any special treatment. Any trick to getting them out? I would hate cutting it.
Thanks.
Ramon

Re: 900 GTS Tachometer
Thanks to all.
For now I lubed the cable to see if it gets better. Hardest part was fighting the rubber boot. How you guys take that off? It’s just so hard.
Thanks again.

900 GTS Tachometer
Hi, I don't know if this is the correct place to post this question. (Admin edit: I moved this to it's current location) On my 78 900 GTS the tachometer started to act very strange. At 4k rpm or so, the needle is dancing all over the place. When at idle it works fine. Any guess on where to start to ...

Re: 860GT base gasket question
He is referring to Permatex copper gasket sealant not a copper base gasket. I don't have much time to work on the bikes and can't afford to get it wrong in the first try. Thats why I use a very thin layer of Permatex High Tack gasket sealant on every gasket. It does not dry and helps in case there i...

New member from Mexico City
Hello everybody. For months I have been an avid reader of this forum. All started when I won, without wanting to win, a 78 GTS in E-bay. I though price was low and someone else would bid higher. Well, neither the price was low or someone else went for it. Imagine my face, me in Mexico city and some ...
